Support: Kate Middleton will attend an event hosted by children's charity Place2Be

Kate Middleton will step out for the second day in a row to attend a children's charity event this morning.

After visiting a young offender's charity with Prince William yesterday, the Duchess of Cambridge will listen to guest speakers in support of school-based mental health charity Place2Be in London's Canary Wharf.

The theme of the forum is increasing children's emotional strength and will address issues such as cyber bullying and self-harming.

Kate became patron of Place2Be in April this year.

Speakers include clinician and broadcaster Professor Tanya Byron, who will address the issue of how young people can stay safe online, and Professor Stephen Scott from King's College London, who will talk about helping parents to raise well-adjusted children.

The Duchess will meet the experts, who also include head teachers and the founder of an addiction treatment centre, after listening to their speeches at the offices of Clifford Chance.

Place2Be supports 75,000 children in more than 200 schools in some of the most deprived areas of the UK. The issues it helps children to deal with include bullying, bereavement and family breakdown.

Kate showed her thrifty side yesterday, wearing a dress she bought in a sale and wore to an event last year.
