The Duchess of Cambridge gracefully handled what could have been an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction today, when she calmly smoothed down her short pleated skirt as it was blown up by a gust of wind.


During a visit to charity Place2Be , the new mum held down the front of the navy number - but then this is not the first time Prince William's wife has had a "Marilyn Monroe" moment.


At the end of the Duke and Duchess' nine-day tour of Canada in 2011, she nearly gave well-wishers a cheeky goodbye when her floaty Jenny Packham dress was caught in the breeze.

She repeatedly tried to preserve her modesty and had to keep a firm hand on the bottom of the yellow dress.


In September 2012, she was also caught out by sudden blustery weather as she changed planes in Brisbane, Australia, revealing a bit too much out back.

And in May this year, the pregnant Duchess struggled again to stop the world seeing more of her than she would like when a polka-dot dress she wore to the wedding of friend William Van Cutsem was blown up well above the knee.
