Kate Middleton Is Being Pressured to Dramatically Change a Beloved Trait

Royals and royal watchers alike may adore Kate Middleton, but adoration alone hasn't deterred criticism about her personal style. First, we heard that Denise McAdam, now-retired stylist of the British royal family for 35 years, wasn't a fan of the Duchess's lengthy locks, as she came out calling them " a bit overdone." The nerve! Then, we heard Camilla Parker Bowles has been trying to guide her step-daughter-in-law toward a "shorter and lighter" 'do. No thanks!

But now comes word from Vanity Fair that Denise and Camilla have an ally in Bowles's personal hairdresser, Jo Hansford ...

Hansford reportedly agrees that Kate needs to seriously chop her mane, explaining:

I think [Kate's] hair needs to be cut. She could get rid of a good six inches. It seems to be getting longer and longer, but it is too long and is dragging down.

Oh no she didn't!

I'm sorry to say it at the risk of sounding ageist, but this talk seems likely fueled by nothing more than jealousy. After a certain age, longer hair isn't exactly as easy to wear or socially acceptable. But Kate's just 32. There's absolutely no reason for her to go short or even shorter -- yet or ever, for that matter!

Hopefully Kate sees right through all this squawking and realizes Team Trim over there only wishes they could rock her coveted tresses!
