Kate Middleton, Duchess Of Cambridge And Prince William Festive Fun: Inside ...

Christmas is definitely time to be spent with the family and the royals are no different, with Kate Middleton and Prince William currently planning baby Prince George's first festive holiday.

This Christmas will be Kate and William's first as a family and Life & Style have said that they will be straying from tradition and opting for "cheap and quirky" gifts instead.

Queen Elizabeth II has reportedly invited the Middletons to what's usually a royals-only holiday.

"It's hugely important to Kate and William that her family is with them," a royal insider tells the publication.

According to the reports, the royal family are set to gather at the queen's Norfolk estate, Sandringham, and the 30-person guest list includes William's dad, Prince Charles, and brother, Prince Harry, Prince Andrew and daughters Beatrice and Eugenie, Princess Anne and Prince Edward.

They'll then exchange presents by an 18-foot Norfolk pine tree the queen helps decorate, Life & Style adds.

The royals opt for gag gifts, with the source adding that "the cheaper and quirkier, the better!" when it comes down to picking presents for their loved ones.

But Pippa, who spent $11,000 to have the baby's hands and feet cast in silver, will go for something posh.

"Kate and William are hugely excited about the festive season," the royal insider enthuses, "and even though George will be only 5 months old, they know this is a time they'll cherish forever."

Meanwhile, Kate and William both gushing over their little one on many occasions, Prince Harry recently joked that his brother was "jealous" of him going on his recent South Pole trek, because he got to get away from a screaming child.

"My brother's just quite jealous that I managed to get away from a screaming child," he joked to Sky News.
