It's hard to dress for the holidays without looking like a present, or, worse, a joke. (Un-ironic ugly Christmas sweater we still love you!) But leave it Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, to really nail the look.

For Christmas services at St. Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham, Middleton wore a blue and green tartan dress coat by her go-to designer, Alexander McQueen, and a matching green hat by Gina Foster, the Huffington Post is reporting. She was accompanied by her dashing husband, Prince William. Sadly the latest addition to the family, Prince George, had to sit services out. "We've had a good morning with George and I can't wait until next year when he's bigger," Prince William told reporters.

In keeping with her sensible approach to fashion, the dress coat Middleton wore is one she's worn before, most memorably to play field hockey in November of last year while visiting her alma mater, St. Andrews prep. Well plaid, Kate.
