Duchess Of Cambridge's First Mother's Day: How Kate Middleton Will Spend The ...
This time last year speculation was mounting about the name, sex and arrival date of the unborn royal baby, with little George arriving on July 22. Now the family is complete it'll be a quiet day for the Duke and Duchess according to E!News, with no big celebrations planned.
The couple may well travel to Bucklebury, Berkshire to see Kate's mum Carole Middleton. It's just a few weeks away from the Australia and New Zealand royal tour which Prince George will be going along on, so it could be the last chance for his grandparents to see him before they go.
Plans are well underway for the big trip Down Under, which will be the couple's third royal tour and their first with their son.
In recent weeks they've appointed Spanish nanny Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo as a full time carer for George and will also be accompanying the couple on the royal tour.
Confirming the news, Kensington Palace released a statement saying:
"Maria is a full-time nanny, who started work with us recently, and will be accompanying the Duke and Duchess and Prince George to New Zealand and Australia," a spokesperson said.
"We will not be giving further details on Maria or her employment, except to say that the Duke and Duchess are of course delighted she has chosen to join them."
Maria has had some bonding time with little George recently though after the royal couple left the future king in her charge while they holidayed on the island of Mustique.
Explaining Maria's role during the tour, the spokesperson went on: "When they're out and about she will be looking after Prince George as she's been doing for the last couple of weeks."
