Kate Middleton's Half
While Kate Middleton long ago claimed the loose-wave blowout as her signature style, she's been rocking another chic hairdo as of late.

During the royals' three-week tour of New Zealand and Australia, the Duchess of Cambridge has given almost-equal play to the half-up, half-down hairstyle. Middleton, 32, wore the look, which features twisted sections connecting at the crown of her head, while playing cricket on April 14 in Christchurch, New Zealand. She repeated it while bonding with puppies on April 16 in Wellington, New Zealand, and then again planting trees on April 19 in Brisbane, Australia.

"The style is a good middle ground without being casual or overly formal," celeb hairstylist Nunzio Saviano tells Us Weekly. "With her royal duties, it suits her as a simple, everyday look that she can wear - in other words, what the ponytail means for the rest of us!"

Fans of Middleton's enviably glamorous hair -- and easy styles in general -- can copy the royal's look in just four steps. Saviano, owner of his eponymous salon in New York City, breaks down the Duchess's chic style for Us Weekly.
1) Begin by grabbing a 2-inch section of hair on the left side, twisting it loosely and pinning it to the back of the head using a bobby pin, letting the ends hang.
2) Repeat on the other side and secure both twists with pins.
3) Loop the ends of both sections into a loose knot (as if you're tying your shoes) and secure with bobby pins. "Keep in mind that if you make it too tight the pins will show so keep everything loose," Saviano tells Us Weekly.
4) To finish and secure the style, mist a hairspray all over.
