Just imagine Kate Middleton with purple hair and Prince William with a neck tattoo. Or Jackie Kennedy, Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn completely covered in ink. Or Johnny Cash with sleeves!

Well, you no longer have to imagine because artist Cheyenne Randall has created a tumblr called Shopped Tattoos, which is dedicated to bringing these very bizarre mental images (and many, many more) to life.

Taking photos of some of the biggest names in pop culture, Randall uses minimal Photoshopping to cover them with all sorts of old school tattoo designs. Brilliant.
