Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge might have given Prince Charles his first grandchild this year but according to a new report the future king has admitted he wouldn't have minded if Prince George has arrived a little sooner according to a new report.

Kate and Wills welcomed the little prince in July this year, making Charles a grandfather at 65. But according to a guest at his birthday celebrations last week, the Prince of Wales had confessed that he wished he had grandchildren sooner.

"[He said] how he really enjoyed being a grandfather and how he wished he had grandchildren earlier," the reported guest told the New York Post.

"He said he was envious of his friends who already have many grandchildren,"

Speaking to Time Magazine earlier this year he admitted that he was concentrating on the future to build a better world for his grandson, Prince George claiming the little one "is what this is all about".

"I've had this extraordinary feeling, for years and years, ever since I can remember really, of wanting to heal and make things better," he said.

Charles went on. "I feel more than anything else it's my duty to worry about everybody and their lives in this country, to try to find a way of improving things if I possibly can."

Let's hope Kate and Wills have their second child soon! William admitted during the royal tour to South East Asia last year that he definitely wanted at least two children.
