By Becca Longmire On December 27, 2013

Kate Middleton and Prince William celebrated Prince George's first Christmas with him this year and all the details regarding the family and their Boxing Day traditions have now been revealed, according to new reports.

Us Weekly claim that the new parenrs spent Christmas Eve and Christmas Day at the Queen's Sandringham retreat in Norfolk and continued their festivities with their five- month-old son yesterday (December 26).

The Queen featured her new great-grandson in her annual Christmas speech, referencing that her family is a "little larger" this Christmas, before she then added: "As so many of you will know, the arrival of a baby gives everyone the chance to contemplate the future, with renewed happiness and hope. For the new parents, life will never be quite the same again."

And it seems like the family had a great time over the festive period, with the celebrations continuing on Boxing Day.

Chef Darren McGrady told Us Weekly that the breakfast yesterday consisted of "hearty food" for the men, whilst the women were brought up "meals on trays" while they were still in bed at 8am.

The royal insiders then add that at 10am, Kate played with George at the house, before Nanny Webb then took over at midday so that the Duchess and the ladies can make the mile- long trek for lunch in Dershingham woods.

McGrady continues: "The chefs send a trailer packed with cottage pies and beef stews."

In the afternoon, Kate and William then allegedly said their goodbyes and drove the 157 miles to the Middletons' Bucklebury home to spend the rest of the day with grandparents Carole and Michael, plus Pippa and James.

So many people to see, with so little time! But the source added that the couple have "spent a lot of time with Kate's family" this week.
