Kate Middleton, Duchess Of Cambridge's Designer (And Recycled) Christmas ...

By Joanna Crawley On December 28, 2013

Prince George may not have made an appearance on Christmas Day but his mother, Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge more than made up for his absence with not one but two glamorous looks for the royal festivities.

While 2012 saw Prince Harry eating turkey with the troops in Afghanistan and brother William celebrating with Kate and her family, this year everyone descended on the Queen's royal estate of Sandringham in Norfolk, marking the biggest guest list for HM in recent years.

The whole family, minus George, made the traditional outing to St Mary Magdalene church on the Sandringham estate on Christmas Day morning, where they were greeted by around 3,000 well-wishers.

While the Queen looked elegant in her burnt orange coat it was all eyes on Kate as she managed to wow in not one but two ensembles in the space of just a few minutes.

Seen greeting other members of the family as she arrived at church, the Duchess was dressed in a camel knee-length coat with a tartan shawl draped around her shoulders.

It was all change when Kate walked hand in hand with husband Prince William through the crowds though, this time choosing a favourite Alexander McQueen tartan coat dress, the fashion house behind her 2011 wedding gown.

Finished off with a fascinator from Gina Foster and boots from Aquatalia Rhumba, Kate managed to look chic but stay cosy for the festive family outing.

The stunning navy and green coat perfectly fitted the occasion, and Kate kept up her tradition of re-using some of her favourite wardrobe items. The coat dress, from the Brit brand's spin-off line McQ, was first spotted on the Duchess back in November last year when the royal visited her old school in Berkshire to celebrate St Andrew's Day.

Fashion fans who race to snap up Kate's clothes will be disappointed to hear though that the exact coat is no longer available but similar tartan coats from the McQ line are priced for around £4,000. Better start saving!
