Kate Middleton 'Left Upset After Queen Banned Dog Lupo From Christmas At ...

Looks like not everyone was welcome at Sandringham for the royal family's Christmas get-together, as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's dog Lupo was reportedly left off the guest list after previously clashing with the Queen's corgis.

Kate and Wills headed to Norfolk for their first Christmas with son Prince George earlier this week, but not the whole family was able to attend, according to a new report. Lupo instead was sent to Kate's parents in Bucklebury, Berkshire to avoid a clash with the Queen's beloved pooches.

"The Queen made it clear that Lupo was not on the guest list," a courtier reportedly told The Telegraph. "The Duchess is especially fond of the puppy and was sad that he could not accompany them. He had to sit it out at her parents' home in Berkshire."

Kate and Wills are known to be extremely fond of their pup, bringing him along to social events and are often seen walking him in the grounds of Kensington Palace. He even was included in the first official portrait of the couple with Prince George, who was born in July this year.

The couple will be reunited with Lupo over New Year though, as the Duke and Duchess are reportedly heading to Bucklebury for the holiday.

According to the Sunday Express, William in particular is looking forward to spending some quality time in a relatively "normal" family situation, after his Royal festivities.

"William and Kate are just like any normal couple and want to spend time with both families," a friend explained. "This year they are seeing in 2014 with Catherine's family."

"William likes being at Sandringham," the friend added. "But he also loves the informality of staying with Kate's parents and just chilling out in a normal family environment."

Still, they seemed to have a great time with the Prince's family - and he was quoted as saying to well-wishers when he went to church on Christmas Day: "We've had a good morning with George and I can't wait until next year when he's bigger."

Prince George is no stranger to Carole and Michael Middleton's abode, having spent some of the very first days of his life with them. Carole has also been babysitting the future King while his parents were away on various trips - including one to Anglesey.

Furthermore, the couple spent Christmas in Bucklebury in 2012 - just after it had been announced that the Duchess of Cambridge was pregnant, and shortly following her stint in hospital for scary acute morning sickness.
