The Duchess of Cambridge was the very image of chic when she turned up to the Royal Easter Show in a dress by Aussie designer Zimmermann.

Kate and William were greeted by cheering crowds at the annual agricultural show, which is one of the highlights of Australia's social calendar.

She looked radiant in the cream-coloured 'Roamer' dress, as the couple were taken for a tour of the animals and produce.

The dress was previously worn by Australian actress Naomi Watts.

Sisters Nicky and Simone Zimmermann are behind the fashion label, which is best known for high-end swimwear and resort wear.

The Duchess complemented the dress with a pair of cork wedges, as she looked cool and confident in the Aussie sunshine.

The couple were treated to a display of sheep shearing during their visit to the show - an Australian Outback speciality - and chatted to farmers.

After their tour of the show, the couple were whisked away to Bear's Cottage, a children's hospice.

Later this morning they will be treated to a display of surf life-saving on Manly Beach.
