Prince William has told Kate Middleton that her yellow dress makes her look like a banana, according to a woman who saw them in Sydney.
The Duchess of Cambridge made the revelation to a Heather Easton outside city's Opera House earlier today during her visit with her husband and their son, Prince George.
She spoke with Kate who told her: "William said I look like a banana."
The yellow dress she was wearing as the family touched down in Australia was a Roksanda Ilincic dress which retails at £950.
It is not the first time William has made a comment on his wife's attire.
Only a few days ago while they were in New Zealand, she revealed his opinions on an emerald green coat she was wearing.
Bev Hayes, 68, from Cambridge, said: "I complimented her on her green dress (sic).
"She said she liked it but Prince William thought it was a bit bright."
Earlier Prince William spoke at the Sydney Opera House where he spoke about his previous visit following a cyclone that caused devastation in Queensland.
He even commented on the missing Mayalsia Airlines flight saying: "Australia has much to contend with at the moment: your contribution to the ongoing search for MH370 has earned respect in every quarter of the globe.
He also made a rare comment about his mother saying: "My mother's deep affection for Australia - which you were so kind to reciprocate - needs no reminder."
However, it was not sunshine and roses for everybody.
Before leaving New Zealand for Australia, The Duchess of Cambridge wore an elegant blue skirt suit by designer Rebecca Taylor during the Royal couple's visit to Wellington.
Kate managed to look flawless, despite the driving rain, as she and William visited a police training college, and then took a stroll around the city centre on the final part of their visit to New Zealand.
They received a warm welcome at the police training college, where they were greeted by recruits and staff.
The couple got to pet two gorgeous police dog puppies while they chatted with those present.
To top it off, the Duchess was presented with a toy police dog and a special police t-shirt for Prince George.
The royal couple arrived as a political scandal broke which forced one of Australia's senior figures to pull out of the official greeting party at the airport and the joint hosting of the Sydney Opera House reception.
Barry O'Farrell resigned as premier of New South Wales a few hours before the royals arrived after a document emerged contradicting evidence he had given to an anti-corruption agency inquiry yesterday.
The politician insisted he had not received a £1,600 bottle of wine from the former chief executive of Australian Water Holdings, a water infrastructure company at the centre of the investigation, but a thank you note he wrote for the wine has emerged.
