Kate Middleton Hailed The Queen Of Couture By This Fashion Designer...
Kate Middleton's style icon status has been approved by another fashion legend, with her royal influence being linked to the rise of couture sales.
Donatella Versace has gushed over the Duchess of Cambridge's ability to 'wear anything' in a new interview, hailing the new mum as a fully-fledged fashion icon. Hurrah.
The Italian designer also suggested the 'Kate effect' was now just as present in the couture world, with the Duchess said to be influencing younger shoppers to eye-up more expensive garments.
'I call it the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge effect,' Donatella told The Sunday Times on the couples' influence on couture fashion.
'She can wear anything because she has a fantastic body,' the designer continued, adding that she'd love to see Kate wear a Grecian draped dress from her SS14 collection.
But for every doting comment about K-Middy, the Versace legend had just as many good words for Her Majesty.
On wanting to dress the Queen, she revealed: 'I could put her in the colours in this collection, the lilac, pale pinks and purples, but my dream was to put her in black.'
All hail the uber-stylish royals.
